INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s arrested Desiree A. Phillips, age 30, for Grand Larceny 4th degree, a Class E Felony and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor. A joint Investigation between the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Sheriff’s Office alleges that Phillips failed to report other sources of income between December of 2019 to September of 2020 while receiving benefits from the Department of Social Services. It is alleged that Phillips received approximately $2,043 in benefits in which she was not entitled to.

Phillips was processed and held for arraignment on the charges and was later released from CAP Court.

Phillips is due back in the Town of Fort Edward Court at a later date.
