[ARCHIVED] Granville woman injured in four car accident

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Saturday May 9, 2015, at about 8:25 pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a four car, personal injury motor vehicle accident in Fort Ann. The accident was located on State Route 149, just before the intersection with State Route 4.

Patricia A, David, 72, of Pearl Street in Granville was operating her 1999 Toyota Camry, eastbound on State Route 149 when she rear ended a van that was stopped in traffic in front of her. David was taken to the Glens Falls Hospital with chest pains.

The van, a 2004 Toyota, was driven by Megan A. Festa, 33, of Pine Street in Granville. Inside Festa’s vehicle was Thomas A. Festa, 37 and four children ranging in age from four to fourteen. None of the occupants of Festa’s vehicle were injured.

Festa’s vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle, a 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Ronald B. Voorhis, 67, of Wells, Vermont. He was not injured, however the impact sent his vehicle into a fourth vehicle being driven by Sheri M. Gordon, 30, of Dublin Road in Granville. Gordon was not injured.

Traffic was diverted around the intersection for about 45 minutes while the accident was being cleared.

The Fort Ann Fire Department along with Fort Ann EMS assisted on scene. The accident is being handled by Sheriff’s deputies John LaTour, C.J. Davidsen and Sgt. Todd Lemery.
