INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s arrested Holly N. Riley, age 35, for Assault 2nd, a class D felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, an class A misdemeanor.

A joint investigation between the Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Department of Child Protective Services (CPS) determined that Riley intentionally caused physically injury to a child less than seven years old. The child was under Riley’s care at the time of the incident. Riley was processed and arraigned at Central Arraignment, and was released on her own recognizance.
