INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Anthony C. Armstrong, age 31, for Grand Larceny 3rd, a class D felony.

A joint investigation between the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Department of Social Services Fraud Unit, alleges that Armstrong failed to report employment income which resulted in Armstrong receiving $4,104.00 in Temporary Assistance benefits that he was not entitled too.

Armstrong was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and arraigned in the Centralized Court and released without bail. Under New York States new Bail Reform Law this charge is no longer eligible for bail.
