Contemplating starting or expanding a small business? Overwhelmed with all that a startup entails? Ready for the next step to seek assistance? We are here to help!

This course, formerly known as the Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP), is sponsored by Washington and Warren County Local Development Corporations and SUNY Adirondack Business Central.  The program is open to all Washington County prospective entrepreneurs and existing commercial enterprises in Washington County having 10 or fewer employees.

The 8-week program helps you to prepare a business plan to launch or expand your small business. Speakers from local businesses, Washington County LDC, Warren County LDC, SCORE business mentoring network etc. will address such topics as: marketing, bookkeeping, financial projections, human resources and loans and tools for small business. You will have the opportunity to acquire the skills and resources necessary to achieve your business goals. Hundreds of entrepreneurs have participated in the Course since 1995.

Microenterprise Loan Fund

Start -Up ADK provides an opportunity for financing through the Microenterprise Loan Fund administered by the Washington County Local Development Corporation.

Start-Up ADK "graduates" who complete the seminar and complete a business plan can apply for low-cost, flexible-term financing. In addition, the Washington County Local Development Corporation is available to assist with information on financing from other public and private resources.
