The Empire Zone program is just one of many incentive programs that our businesses have found beneficial. As of June 30, 2010, the Empire Zone program is closed to new participants. Certified Empire Zone businesses will continue to receive benefits through 2017, but no additional businesses can become certified.
The LDC operates 4 revolving loan fund programs. The 1st 2 focus on manufacturing facilities, the 3rd assists small business and the 4th was adopted to assist business ventures that are geared towards assisting with projects that enhance community. All funds stress new job creation and offer flexible terms and an attractive interest rate.
A Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) is a site within the United States, in or near a U.S. Customs Port of Entry, where foreign and domestic merchandise is generally considered to be in international commerce (e.g. outside of U.S. Customs territory).
Through a combination of classroom instruction, low-cost financing, resource materials, a local support system, and hundreds of other MAP graduates, you will have the opportunity to acquire the skills and resources necessary to achieve your business goals. Hundreds of entrepreneurs have participated in the MAP since 1995.
