Personal Emergency Response Services (PERS)

Washington County Office for Aging (OFA) contracts with the American Medical Alert Program. This service is provided to Washington County residents age 60 and older.  It utilizes an electronic device to alert the appropriate people of the need for immediate assistance in the event of an emergency situation. This support offers caregivers an additional tool in caring for their loved one and helps combat the isolation individuals are experiencing. This service is fully funded by OFA, however, a contribution of $5.00 per month is suggested to support the continuation of this program, but no one will be denied service because of the inability or unwillingness to contribute.

If you need assistance with a PERS device, please contact Washington County Office for Aging and speak to one of our Information Specialists at (518) 746-2420.
