Municipal Leadership Training
- ffective January 1, 2007 (Chapter 662 of the laws of 2006) the New York State Legislature amended the General Municipal Law, Town Law, General City Law and Village Law to require four (4) hours per year of training for each member of a local Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, including the county planning board. Time spent in training in excess of four hours per year may be carried over to subsequent years.

Adirondack Park Agency (APA) Municipal Training [APA website]
The APA offers community workshops for municipalities within the Adirondack Park. APA staff can conduct workshops on site review, visual assessments, project analysis and other subjects, in conjunction with the Department of State and other partners.

Upcoming In-Person Training with NYS Local Government (LGt) is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2023, 4:30PM to 8:30PM.
The training is held in the Basement Classroom at Washington County Municipal Center, Building B 383 Broadway Fort Edward NY
- Subdivision Regulation 4:30 – 6:30 pm
- Break 6:30 – 6:45 pm
- Skills that Make Great Board Members 6:45 – 8:15 pm
