Mental Health / Community Services

The Office of Community Services for Warren and Washington Counties is a shared administrative office between the two counties responsible for planning, oversight and coordination of a wide range of services for individuals and families impacted by mental illness, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and addiction issues. We work in partnership with the NYS Office of Mental Health, the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities to ensure services are developed according to identified local needs.  The state agencies also assist us in ensuring that quality local services are available, accessible and delivered in accordance with state agency regulations and guidance. The state agencies fund, regulate and license the programs.   

In order to be eligible for State aid, NYS Counties are required under NYS Mental Hygiene Law to have a Director of Community Services, a Community Services Board and to provide or arrange for services including mental health, addiction, and intellectual/developmental disability services.  The Warren and Washington County Community Services Boards arrange for local services through contracts with the following agencies that receive State Aid funding:
