GENERAL INFORMATION
For questions regarding DMV forms, processes, or information, please call 1-800-698-2931 and the Call Center will be able to direct you. The alternate telephone number for the Call Center is 1-518-486-9786. You may also find answers to your questions in the FAQ section of the NYS DMV website NYS DMV .

Permit tests and CDL tests:

Please do NOT schedule Permit tests for regular licenses after 3:15 pm. We will not be able to accommodate you and you will have to reschedule your appointment for an earlier time on another day.

CDL tests: CDL Class A tests cannot be scheduled after 2:30 pm. If you are also looking to test on endorsements, then do not schedule an appointment after 2:00 pm. We will not be able to accommodate you and you will have to reschedule you appointment for an earlier time on another day.

There is documentation needed to sit for any permit test. This information is found on the NYS DMV website (the link is accessible above). Failure to have the appropriate documentation may mean you will not be able to sit for a permit test that day.

Keep Your Tax Dollars Working for Washington County

Get your registration back faster and keep your taxes in check. Washington County keeps 12.7% of your registration renewal fee when it is processed locally, but gets nothing if you mail it back to the State or renew online.
