The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT).
Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, and demonstrates examples of things to do in case of an active shooter event.
This potentially lifesaving program is open to the public and will address what individuals need to know to look out for their individual safety. There is no charge to attend these training sessions, however, please register in advance to ensure seating.
Please note: the presentation contains realistic material and reenactments that some attendees may find graphic in nature. Discretion for sensitive audiences is advised. This is not a class for young children, please do not bring them.
