The Washington County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA proudly announced funding the agencies’ first ever child passenger safety seat fitting station. Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy gave his full support for the program which will be operating at the Sheriff’s Office located at:
Fort Edward, NY 12828
The fitting station allows parents to have their car seats checked and installed by a certified CPS Technician at the Sheriff’s Office. The program also focuses on educating the parents on proper seat fitting, and the varying stages of car seats. The Sheriff’s PBA voted to fund the operation of the fitting station after Sheriff’s Deputy Kristen Hardy, who has completed the rigorous certification process, brought details of the program to the PBA membership. The PBA and Sheriff’s Office will work in conjunction with assistance from Washington County Public Health.
The service is free of charge to county residents, with available appointments on Fridays. Contact the Sheriffs Office Community Outreach Coordinator, Investigator Kristen Hardy, at 518-746-2475, extension 3722 for an appointment.
