Absentee Voting Information

Absentee Voting for General Election

October 23rd - Last day to receive application or letter of application by mail, or online portal for General Election ballot. You may come to our office and apply in person for an absentee ballot for the General Election up to November 6th.

November 7th - Last day to postmark General Election Ballot and received no later than November 14th at the Board of Elections.

Accessible Electronic Absentee Ballot

If you are a voter with special needs you may apply for an Accessible Electronic Absentee Ballot.

Voters using the accessible absentee ballot system in need of printing services in order to print their ballot can access such services at certain public printing resources, including but not limited to, libraries, print stores, shipping stores, and office supply stores. Voters should contact their local printing resources for details on the printing services offered. Voters using the accessible absentee ballot system can also print their absentee ballots at the County Board offices.

ABSENTEE BALLOT DROP OFF PLAN FOR 2023 GENERAL ELECTION

Prior to election day voters can drop off completed absentee ballots at either the Board of Elections Office or in the secure Dropbox located near the front doors of the BOE's building at 1153 Burgoyne Ave, Fort Edward, NY 12828.  

Absentee Ballots may also be delivered to the Early Voting Poll Site, which is the Board of Elections Office, or to the Poll Sites on Election Day Nov. 7, 2023.  If a voter turns in a absentee ballot at a Poll Site they will not have to wait in line, they will go directly to the sign in table and deliver their absentee ballot to the Election Inspector.

Washington County Board of Elections 1153 Burgoyne Ave, Fort Edward, NY 12828 will have a Ballot Marking Device available in our office for any voter who wishes to mark their ballot privately and independently.
